Gaining momentum for a better life in 2019.
Here we go y’all, head first into 2019. This year we want to give you a toolbox full of things to help you REALLY live your best life. Not just in an Instagram fabulous encapsulation but in a real, authentic, tangible way.
Here is the gist of it : make intentional choices with a clear understanding of what you’re working toward and live a more fulfilled life.
If that sounds interesting to you then read on.
It starts to feel a bit like we are all on autopilot after a while. Patterns repeat themselves, we have ‘goals’ but never know where to start and it feels like there isn’t enough time to even figure out how to start (this one is so real).
So, instead of heading into 2019 like we went out of 2018, let’s go slow, let’s get thoughtful about what we want, not only in our sweaty pursuits but also in the big picture of our personal lives. Is there one thing you can think of right now that is important to you, that’s always on your mind but also feels unattainable?
I know there is for me. I am going to get a little personal here and tell you what mine is and my why.
I have had Well.Fit for three years now. In that time I have raised one baby to be a little boy, had another baby, and kept my now 18 year old alive through some very traumatic times while she dealt with drug addiction and suicidal tendencies. We’ve dealt with hospitalizations of two of our children and without dramatizing at all, we feared for their lives. The last three years have been jam packed with extremes both joyful and traumatic alike. I have been a mother for 18 years and have been grinding every step of the way, providing for my children. This last fall I hit a breaking point. I reached a place where I knew in my heart that if I did not change things I would not be able to function for very much longer. But change takes time and the change I need will require some big shifts (and during that time we still have to continue to do things like eat and pay rent…real life stuff). My goal is to work from home almost exclusively, create a better work/mom life balance and in that balance find more time to take care of myself.
This is going to take some work. But it’s ride or die. So here we go!

Workshops and In-Studio Happenings:
Monday January 14th, ‘Conscious Sweat’ Personal Goals Challenge Kick-off - The personal goals challenge will be a 30 day in-studio attendance challenge + your personal fitness goal. Make sure you show up to a class that day so you can join a coach group and pair up with an accountability partner for the challenge. Personal Goal Challenge Example: I want to do 10 burpees like a boss and love it. If you know how to tackle the goal, great! If you need assistance, that is what your coach group is for. Reach out to your coach and ask for help! He or she can break it down for you and give you focused exercises to do along the way that will make your burpee big beautiful and powerful. By the end of it you WILL look and feel like a boss doing burpees. So in a nutshell, get your asses to classes and zoom in on a personal fitness goal and get to work on it. There will be prizes for the top three attendance winners!
Saturday January 19th, 11:30AM - ‘Conscious Goals’ - a workshop with Teah and Mara. This is where we are going to really dive into your goals and your why. We will walk you through exercises to help you clearly identify what it is that is truly valuable to you in your life. From there we will build your goal, then work backwards to help you create the steps needed to actually reach it.
Saturday February 9th, 11:30AM- ‘Conscious Eating’ - a workshop with Catherine Beck, MS, RD, LDN. This will include a ‘Mindful Eating’ experience, a look at nutritional facts vs. fiction and we will touch upon the emotional eating factor.

Online and Social:
We will continuously drop knowledge bombs on you throughout the months of 2019. It’s easy to lose focus after the initial push. In addition to adding more workshops we are going to keep you plugged in and engaged through social media and blog posts. Stay tuned for some excellent content that will support everything else we are putting in your tool box.
We know that the Well.Fit community is filled with amazing folks who are in line with the culture we create, Rely on your friends at the studio, they can help you get where you’re going in fitness and in life! We plan to carry this campaign all the way through 2019…after all, we are ramping up for 2020 which just sounds like it’s going to be an epic year.
